Student’s Industrial Visits & Attachments 

The Industry Training Program plays an important role in IPRC(K)/ KCT.The mission of the Industry Liaison Office  is to co-ordinate Industrial Training Programmes (ITP)for our students to enable them to gain practical experience in the working world.These programs are divided into to Two:

  1. Student’s Industrial Visits (This takes place during the studies, where a class can pay a one day visit to a company to get some industrial experience on a specific area. This can be once or twice in a semester per each section / class.)
  2. Student’s Industrial Attachments (This ITP program takes place once in a student’s academic period in IPRC(K) / KCT. Normally for Diploma students, it’s at the end of their second year for a period of eight weeks. For Vocational students, it’s done at the end of their program.

 PLACEMENT OF STUDENTS IN INTERNSHIP.

Depends on availability of opportunities from schools and companies.

-Insurance Cover cost-Accommodation, Food & Transport Costs-Report writing Cost

-Student’s Log Book
  • What is the procedure?
The Industrial Liaison Office prepares a lists of students and lists of supervisors liaising with the industries and they coordinate  the activity.
  • What, if any, other institutions do I need to visit to access the service? (eg. For payment of service costs or to get additional documents)
Insurance Company eg.  SONARWA to get an insurance cover certificate
  • Is there a complaint procedure?
Complaints may be addressed either in writing or in person to the ILO office or Director of Academic Services (DAS) office and when not solved contact the Vice Principal for Academics and Training.
